I did these three quick ones over the weekend for Miami New Times. Sad stuff about adolescent mental patients being abused or neglected at a facility that is supposed to help them.
In progress… I got my ink out for the first time in way too long for this piece that will be in the “It Came From 1984” show at Bottkeneck Gallery in the near future.

This was a cool one for McSweeney’s Quarterly, super cool book! These are small portraits of all the authors in that issue. If you pick it up they are in the back of the book with their bios.
This one is for Entertainment Weekly’s best of 2013 issue. It’s for a book called Five Days at Memorial by Sheri Fink, about what happened in a hospital after hurricane Katrina. Here is a link to the synopsis.
Just for kicks this is one of the rejected sketches from the Breaking Bad illustration. I think I’m going to hang onto it and do it later if I get a chance… What happened to Jesse got to me.
This is a McSweeney’s piece for an article about a particularly intense Breaking Bad episode. It was a tight deadline but they made it a bit easier on me because I was only allowed to use three colors.
This is another one for the great folks over at the Chronicle of Higher Education… Ellen, Scott and Janeen are the best! In a nutshell it’s about how much education we really need for the jobs we’re getting.
This cover is for an article about how abortion clinics are closing in Santa Fe forcing women to travel to Albuquerque to get help. However, Albuquerque is voting to close their clinics now as well really putting women in a rough spot.
